This one was a real standout. We partnered with a real estate client who needed a roof that would hold up to scrutiny - the kind buyers and inspectors notice right away. The home itself is a beautiful Hill Country property, and it deserved a roof to match.

We went with IKO Nordic shingles in a deep charcoal tone. These are a Class 4 impact-rated shingle, which is the highest impact resistance rating available. That matters a lot in Texas, where hail and severe storms are a regular part of life. A Class 4 roof can also qualify homeowners for significant insurance premium discounts - so there's a real financial benefit on top of the durability.

What we love about this particular install is how well the color works against the home's cream-toned stone exterior. The dark shingles contrast cleanly, and the tight, uniform lay across all the dormers and roof planes shows what a quality installation actually looks like. Shingle roofing done right has a very specific look - consistent alignment, clean edges, no waviness. That's what you're seeing here.

The roof footprint on this home is large and has a lot of complexity - multiple intersecting planes, three dormers, a chimney, and a wraparound porch structure. Each of those transitions is an opportunity for water infiltration if the install isn't done carefully. We take that seriously on every job, whether it's a real estate deal or a family home that's been in someone's name for decades.

When a real estate partner calls us, they're trusting us with their clients and their reputation. We don't take that lightly. A new roof installation like this one adds immediate value and gives buyers confidence from the moment they pull into the driveway.
